Archiving Project

About The Archiving Project

The archiving project is an exciting new development for Fèisean nan Gàidheal where we aim to encourage Fèis participants to collect and record local tunes, songs and stories in their own communities. This is a great opportunity for the Fèisean to promote and preserve their own local heritage and for young people to discover more about the culture and tradition of their own areas. Participants in the project will also be given the opportunity to develop new skills in collecting and recording through a series of training sessions provided by Fèisean nan Gàidheal. Fèisean nan Gàidheal has an allocated budget for this project so individual Fèisean will not need to raise funds themselves. If you would like any further information about the project please contact Emily at Fèisean nan Gàidheal.

How can your Fèis take part in the archiving project?

The archiving project is open to all Fèisean who are members of Fèisean nan Gàidheal.  If your Fèis is interested in taking part in the project, or if you would like some more information, please contact Emily for an application form.
