Adult Fèis
Here it is - the nineteenth Adult Fèis 2009 and it's going to be a GREAT one !
This event promises to be one of the most exciting yet with a fantastic guest tutor, a large number of our regular tutors and one or two new faces!
Top Irish flautist, Niall Keegan is joining us this year as our guest. Niall, who is currently course director of the Traditional Irish Music Performance Masters at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance is possibly one of Ireland's most exciting and innovative players on the scene today.
We were delighted when he accepted the invitation to join us in Ullapool. Each year we try to bring you a guest tutor who has not worked with us before and this year in addition to Niall we are linking up with Margaret Bennett and a group of musicians from Newfoundland who will join us as part of their Homecoming tour.
The Newfoundland group will feature singers and musicians from three generations of the MacArthur family and they will perform music and songs dating from the 1790s to the present day at a special concert on the evening of Saturday 2nd May. See Flyer for full details of this visit.
Joining our guests is a long list of outstanding musicians who make a fantastic contribution to the work of Fèis Rois and they are as follows
