Fèis Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu

Following a successful EGM in April at which a new committee was established, Fèis Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu (‘Glasgow Gaelic Fèis’) held it’s first event in three years in the form of a three-day fèis that was held in Bun Sgoil Ghleann Dail between the 26-28 May. It was a great success, with a range of interactive sessions for pre-school children, music classes for primary-aged children, Gaelic song masterclasses for adults with expert tuition from Kathleen MacInnes, Mairi MacInnes and Anne Lorne Gillies, as well as a drop-in, Gaelic café which was run by Comann nam Pàrant.

Fèis Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu are now working hard to develop a strategy to re-establish a programme of traditional music tuition in Glasgow.

Their next Gaelic medium fèis will be held between the 9-13 April 2018.
