5 Latha 2021: 5-9 April (Online)

5 Latha 2021 will be held online between 5-9 April. This event is open to Gaelic speaking high-school pupils giving the opportunity to participants to experience. life in a Gaelic speaking community.

Although we are unable to visit the Gearrannan Blackhouses this year again we are delighted to be able to bring you a taste of the type of activities we take part in during 5 Latha with the hope that we will be back again in the community next year. The sessions will be delivered in Zoom, sessions included will ‘The Gearrannan Blackhouses, crofting, baking, Harris Tweed and music and song workshops.

Although there is no requirement for participants to have a music ability we are pleased to offer music and song lessons with some of the finest Gaelic artists. This year we are pleased to have Seonaidh MacIntyre and Ian Smith. (Trail West) leading music workshops and we also have Ellen MacDonald (Sian/Daimh) giving song workshops.
