Music and Fun in Airdrie this August

Fèis Lannraig a Tuath (the ‘North Lanarkshire Festival’ in Gaelic) are busy preparing for the annual summer fèis this August in Airdrie.

Over four days from Tuesday 2nd to Friday 5th August approximately 40 children aged 5 to 18 will take part in workshops in singing, accordion, guitar, clarsach, Highland dancing, arts and crafts, drama and sports. Classes are taught through Gaelic and take place in Cairnlea Parish Church, Airdrie. Fèis Lannraig a Tuath are pleased to offer this event at £30 per child with discounts where more than one child from a family is attending the fèis.

In addition a Fèis Bheag or ‘Wee Fèis’ will provide four mornings of fun for young children aged 2 to 5. The Fèis Bheag will run from 10am to midday each day of the fèis, costing £10 per child in total.

The fèis will be rounded off on Friday evening with an informal concert where participants can show their families all their new skills.
