This year Fèisean nan Gàidheal’s Gaelic Drama Summer School will be delivered online for the first time to give young Gaelic speakers the opportunity to develop their acting skills and collaborate creatively while at home due to the coronavirus pandemic. The School will take place between the 6th and 10th of July 2020 and applications from Gaelic speaking teenagers interested in drama aged between 13 and 17 at the time of the School are welcome. The closing date for applications is Wednesday 1st July.
Fèisean nan Gàidheal is happy to announce Lana Pheutan as the School’s artistic director. Lana, originally from Portree in Skye, has first hand experience of the school having been a former participant. After she left school she went onto study Acting for Stage and Screen at Napier University, Edinburgh and has lots of experience as an actor in plays, short films and recently for television in the Gaelic language comedy series ‘Func’ and Gaelic drama series ‘Bannan’ on BBC Alba.
The School provides an excellent opportunity to develop acting skills for both stage and screen. To apply for a place at the school simply fill in the online application form which can be found along with more information at www.feisean.org/ssd/.
