Fèis Thiriodh is hosting its first in-person event in nearly two years with an afternoon of music, dance and games in partnership with Tiree Music Festival (TMF).
Blas na Fèise will give the island’s youngsters a taste of the kind of activity that would typically happen at the summer Fèis. These include singing with Norrie MacIver (Skipinnish), step dance with Tara Rankin and Jamie MacDonald (Eabhal) and a Treasure Hunt. There will be a Fèis Bheag for 3-5 year olds too and a music finale which parents / carers will be able to join.
Fèis Chair Janice MacInnes said:
“Although Fèis Thiriodh has a long history of helping to nurture the talent of folk who have then gone on to be showcased or even run TMF, this is our first event with the Festival and we’re looking forward to it. We’re very fortunate to have Norrie MacIver as well as some of our of own island resident talent on board to lead workshops”.
Parents/ carers will be welcome (socially distanced with masks) for the musical finale at 3.30pm when the raffle will also be drawn. Raffle tickets will be available at Bùth a’ Bhaile, Cafaidh Carrieanne, Tyree Gin and at the door. Anyone wishing to donate to the raffle should contact firstname.lastname@example.org or Linda Smith on 07787 571560
