The Blas Festival has established itself as the Highlands’ premier Gaelic and traditional music festival. The festival was established by The Highland Council after a visit to Cape Breton’s Celtic Colours festival.

Blas 2023: 1-9 September
A partnership between Fèisean nan Gàidheal and The Highland Council, with support from a number of other bodies including Bòrd na Gàidhlig and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, the Blas festival will provide a mix of live events, online sessions and livestreams.
Over 9 days we delivered a fantastic programme of concerts, cèilidhs, workshops, lectures and more celebrating the music, songs, language and culture of the Highlands culminating in a celebration of the Fèis movement in a Ceòl nam Fèis showcase concert on the final night of the festival.
