Fèis Eilean na Hearadh

Fèis Eilean an Hearadh was established in 1992.

Fèis Eilean na Hearadh is usually held during the first week of July in Sir E Scott School in Tarbert.  Tuition in a multitude of instruments will be offered as well as singing and Harris Tweed Craft.  For teenagers attending the Fèis, there will be an outdoor pursuits class where they will take part in activities such as hill climbing, mountain biking and kayaking.

Upcoming events:

Fèis Eilean na Hearadh is taking place on 4 – 8th July 2022 in Sir E Scott School in Tarbert.

For Primary children there is a wide range of subjects available including; Fèis clubs, guitar, chanter/piping, Gaelic song, Gaelic drama, accordion, drumming, fiddle, harp, football, Harris Tweed Craft, games, highland dancing and keyboard.

For secondary pupils there are also activities at Scaladale Centre which include mountain biking, hill walking, sea kayaking and coasteering.  There will also be sessions with Esther Chlad Photography where participants can learn how to take professional photos.

There will be a Tutor’s Cèilidh at Tigh Mo Sheanair in Tarbert on 6th July 2022 at 7pm.  The Children’s Concert will go ahead in Sir E Scott School on 8th July 2022 at 2pm.
