Gaelic Awareness Training is for Local Authorities, public bodies and other organisations interested in developing a Gaelic Language Plan or implementing one previously developed. These are tailored specifically to ensure each organisation receives the most relevant and interesting session possible, including history of the language, basic conversation and vocabulary relevant to their work and the development of a Gaelic Language Plan.
When Fèisean nan Gàidheal is asked to deliver a bespoke Gaelic Awareness Training session it is normally for staff of an organisation looking to deliver their Gaelic language plan. However, one of our non-public body funders, came forward citing an interest in Gaelic language and culture and so a bespoke session was put in place for members of the Scottish Culture and Heritage Group at the William Grant Foundation. As part of the session we prepared a song resource specific to the drinks industry and particularly whisky and its presence in song dealing with all the major events of a lifetime.
