We are delighted to have been working with Comhairle nan Eilean Siar (CnES) since 2022 to lead Gaelic song sessions in all six of their Uist and Barra primary schools.
Since then, several tutors from or with a strong connection to the islands have been embracing the opportunity to deliver songs with local connections and re-engage island children with songs from their own communities wherever possible. Our current tutors are Catherine Tinney in Barra and Dorothy MacVicar in Uist.
In 2024-25, schools were also visited by special guests Seonaidh MacIntyre and Linda MacLeod for one-off cèilidhs and Q&As to learn more about their journey to Gaelic and Gaelic song.
