• ICO: Pasgan nan Òran | YMI Song Resource
  Traditional songs in Gaelic and Scots with useful words and phrases as well as questions to ask the children to deepen their understanding of the song.

  Simple tunes, guidance on good practice in tutoring different levels to encourage confidence in the instrument, and ideas for class structures.

  A video resource building on previous YMI Whistle Resources. In each video, the musicians play the tune slowly, at a steady pace and then at full speed where appropriate, in the hopes that this will help players at various levels get to grips with the tunes.

  Further ideas for tunes suitable for teaching beginners on the whistle, graded for various levels of ability with scored music and fingering charts etc. to provide further guidance to pupils.

  A song resource from our Seinn/Sing project which is delivered to every primary school class in Uist and Barra in partnership with CnES.
• Saoghal na Cloinne Bige
  Another partnership with CnES, this resource walks us through a day in a baby’s life through song – some traditional and others newly-composed – suitable for parents and their young children.

  An interactive Gaelic resource which explores how we use our bodies to take a breath and how we produce sound.
• Treòir | Voar | Virr – Song Booklet
  Songs from Scotland’s islands – Shetland and Orkney Isles as well as Gaelic-speaking regions – which were collected by local singers and taught as part of the second instalment of inter-island multi-arts project TVV in 2022-23. There is a link to a recording for each song as well as lyrics and further information where available.

For high school pupils:
