Supported by Creative Scotland National Lottery Funding, Fèisean nan Gàidheal operates a Musical Instrument Bank that ensures Fèisean have access to instruments when they require them for teaching purposes. Instruments are also available for hire to individuals at very competitive rates.
Main Fèis: Instruments are available free of charge, but Fèisean will be expected to cover the cost of their return.
Classes: Instruments are available for regular classes but hire fees will apply, as below. The Fèis will also be expected to cover the cost of their return at the end of the classes.
A list of hire charges are below:
Clarsach – £20
Fiddle 1/4 or 1/2 – £5
Fiddle 3/4 or 4/4 – £8
Accordion – £8
Keyboard – £8
Guitar – £8
Fees apply to help cover the cost of repairs, carriage and replacements.
