Fèis Chataibh announce new workshops

Fèis Chataibh are set to be busy this November with a series of traditional arts workshops for young people taking place in Brora and Golspie.

 

Firstly over the weekend of 5th and 6th November Fèis Chataibh will hold a groupwork weekend for S1-6 pupils in Brora aimed at young musicians who have reached an intermediate or advanced level on their main instrument. Fèis Chataibh have gathered a superb team of tutors for this event including Gordon Gunn, Addie Harper, Charlie McKerron and Ross Martin. The event costs £60 for two days’ tuition and includes lunch each day as well as dinner on Saturday evening.

 

In a new development for Fèis Chataibh a Fèis Bheag or ‘Wee Fèis’ will take place on Saturday 5th Novemebr in Brora, offering children aged from 5 to 7 the opportunity to try a little music, singing and art centred around a specially written story. This event costs £20 per child and will run from 10am to 3pm.

 

Finally on Saturday 12th November Fèis Chataibh will run a Fèis Day in Golspie High School. This fèis day is open to young people aged 8 to 18 and offers a host of different subjects with classes streamed by ability. The event costs £20 and will run from 10am to 4pm.
