Play along with young musicians from all over Scotland online in May with Fèis Phàislig!
Fèis Phàislig are looking for young musicians and singers across Scotland to come together in a special collaboration this May. Fèis participants across Scotland are being asked to learn the song, Beò an Dòchas, and record themselves playing along to a pre-arranged backing track. Once all the recordings are submitted, these videos will be combined to create an online Fèis orchestra. The song chosen was Beò an Dòchas (Alive in Hope), written by Robbie Anndra MacLeod, because it’s full of positive messages and represents the feelings of the young people across the country at this unusual time.
Grant McFarlane, Fèis Coordinator, says, “Although most of us are at home, I’ve been really inspired by the way everyone has been getting creative online. We’d like as many young people across the country to send us their videos and we can create something amazing during this challenging time!”
Any young musician / singer is welcome to become a part of Fèis Phàislig’s digital orchestra. Make a landscape video of yourself playing or singing along to Beò an Dòchas and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org
before Sunday the 31st of May to take part.
