Fèis an Earraich talkes place during the Easter holidays, alternating between Plockton High School and Portree High School. The aim of the week is to offer young people an enjoyable opportunity to receive intensive tuition in a range of subjects or instruments related to traditional music, Gaelic language and culture. Most of the classes are taught in Gaelic and older participants have the choice of a Teenage Fèis.
Cèilear from Fèis an Earraich will be taking part in a Cèilidh Trail again this year in partnership with the Western Isles Cèilidh Trail, putting on concerts in a wide range of locations in Skye and the Western Isles over the course of three weeks.
